The Mission of Focus on Planet Earth is to use the art and science of visual communications to raise the awareness of Americans about the impact that human activity is having on the planet's ecosystems and the future all life on Earth.
Our Goal is to reach a critical mass of consciousness that humans are part of Nature, not above it or in control of it, and that our survival and the survival of millions of other species, depends on us using our intelligence and technologies to create sustainable communities and economies that work in harmony with Nature, each other, and ourselves for the highest good for all life on Earth.
We have formed strategic partnerships with organizations and individuals that want to be positive instruments for changing systems that do not work for the survival of life on Earth. Our partners are committed to addressing the world’s challenges, which have far-reaching environmental, social, economic, and health implications. One project is Focus On Planet Earth Expeditions. We are inviting thousands of average American citizens to travel on special “Focus On” trips to thousands of ecosystems and communities around the planet to capture images of our natural and unnatural world. These images will be used in different media (books, magazines, DVDs, presentations, etc.) to accomplish our goal.
