JUDY BENSON LaNIER
Judy Benson LaNier is a native of Grand Forks, North Dakota and her family moved to Ashland, Oregon while she was in elementary school. She developed a passion for art at an early age and spent many years teaching art to students from grade school through college.
Capturing the essence of the natural world is a quest that keeps Judy searching for images. Whether she is at home in her own garden or traveling in Africa or Hawaii, her images focus on often over-looked beauty and patterns which invite the viewer to linger. Her work has been published in books and magazines and has been shown in galleries and art shows around Oregon for more than 20 years.
Retired from teaching, Judy currently resides in Talent, Oregon with her husband, Mike. She enjoys designing interiors, sewing, building furniture, and etching glass as well as playing with her grandchildren.
